Hi, I’m Erik. You can read more about me on my about page, if you’re so inclined. I’m a career-long programmer, sometimes manager/executive, erstwhile consultant, and current hermit.
These days, a lot of the content I make for this site is more career-focused. This includes advice for advancing in the corporate world but also a lot of advice for going off on your own. This page, however, isn’t about that sort of advice. (If you’d rather see a welcome page for that, check it out here).
If you’re here, you are, no doubt, coming from one of my technically focused articles. I’ve been a technologist professionally for more than 15 years now, learning more languages, frameworks, and patterns than I can remember off the top. On this blog, you’ll find a lot of .NET stuff, some Java stuff, and a ton of articles focused on architecture, static analysis, patterns, and test driven development (TDD).
It’s hard to neatly summarize this body of content. So for people new to my site, I’ve pulled together a quick, curated list of things I’ve done that you might want to check out.
Technical Things of Interest
For a quick feel, you can check out services I offer and products I offer. But here’s a more focused list.
- I did a whopping 62-part video series on using TDD to build a chess moves engine. It’s also a Youtube playlist.
- I’ve done four Pluralsight courses that you can find here, at my author page. These include courses on TDD, static analysis, and home automation.
- On top of the TDD course, I’ve also written a book about unit testing (with or without TDD).
- Here I am on Github. All of the instructional stuff I do is public.
- I write a weekly column for NDepend, a .NET static analysis tool.
- I do the same for SubMain, who makes an automated .NET code review tool.
If you like this stuff, I’d suggest subscribing to my RSS feed. Every week, I do a digest post that summarizes all of the techie stuff I write, everywhere on the vast digital plain of the internet.
